| I was very pleased with my experience at 21 Federal. The most dissapointing aspect of the meal was the less than average bread assortment provided with dinner; however, my dinner more than made up for it with a surprisingly tastey halibut over pureed cauliflower and cabbage. Dessert was not terribly exciting (ours was a chocolate mouse on sweet cookies); yet, everyone else at the table seemed to be very pleased with their picks. The "variations on cream" looked inviting! Our wine was superb and the service was promt and consistent. |

| Not recommended for in restaurant dining; but certainly for take-out and a "sushi at sunset" excursion!
Yoshi's has high quality sushi which has failed to dissapoint us yet. Always an impressive display, and a wide variety of options. Sushi at Yoshi's tends to be slightly smaller and more tightly wrapped than some restaurants in Boston; but, is just as fresh and flavorful. |

| The food was simply exquisite. I had a 1/2 lobster with braised beef entree. The beef was "like butter" and could not have tasted any better. For an appetizer I ordered an asparagus soup. I light cream base which didn't overwhelm and allowed a flavorful asparagus to treat the taste buds and set the tone for the main course. My only criticism would be the accompanying vegetable medley and mashed potatoes could have been more generous - but they were both seasoned to perfection...
Onto dessert. I ordered their Boston cream pie bread pudding. A decadently delicious way to end a memorable meal. Highly recommend it...
Other info ... As for the 3.5 star ambiance rating, we were seated downstairs. Not quite as intimate or inviting as the upstairs appeared to be. |

| AMELIA'S
-- Living in Manhattan my wife and I
frequent all manners of restaurants.
Amelia's not only delivered one of the
best meals that I have ever had, the
attention to detail is of the sort that
you rarely find today in our "fast-food" nation.
The Host handles the guests beautifully
and was very capable with the wine list.
Our servers were also very professional
and friendly -- without being overly
so. They knew the menu and knew when
to ask questions of the kitchen staff
and us. Overall a great dining experience.
One which I'll be repeating within two
weeks, upon my next visit to the island. |

| Don't
care what else comes and goes, my family
loves Henry's. It's been there since
I was a kid, and now MY kids crave it
as much as my wife and I do (one of our
first dates was going to Surfside with
sandwiches from Henry's). Same as it's
always been, with more and more improvements.
A good thing that just keeps getting
better. |

Having made reservations nearly two
weeks in advance, I had pretty much
assumed I'd be getting a respectable
table. However, upon my arrival, the
hostess showed me a table adjacent to
the bar and next to a group of people
waiting for tables around the hostess
desk. I asked her if she had another
table, and she accomodated us with a
much better option in one of the back
dining rooms (which are quite nice,
and unique) after a reasonable 15 minute
wait. But, if one is making a reservation
at Oran Mor, they should request that
they not be in the bar - the atmosphere
between the bar area and dining room
are worlds apart, and the bar is simply
an unacceptable dining environment at
these prices. The restaurant should
make it a point to mention these two
distinct table locations, and not assume
that the bar is OK. |

This is a casual cafe located right
at the Wharf. The sandwiches, made with
your choice of fresh bread, are fantastic!
Large, extremely fresh ingredients,
and interesting combinations. I also
tried one of their homemade brownies
which was really, really good. The prices
here are extremely reasonable. You may
eat in or take out. I rate this place
EXCELLENT. |

| A fine all around

rounded wine list compliments a variety

veteran of diners. A fabulous
choice in the heart of downtown .
My wife and I recommend it highly! |

| This review highlights
breakfast at "Arno's at 41 Main
Street" which is seemingly a very
popular breakfast site. Arno's offers
breakfast until 2pm for late risers
and fills up quickly. The food selection
is quite good for breakfast but perhaps
what separates this restaurant from
others is the quality of food (breakfast)
for the price! A great place to start
your shopping day located on Main Street
downtown . |

| This review is
for "The Brotherhood" restaurant
located just down the street from the
Jared Coffin House and across from Cioppino's.
If your looking for low-key, quick fare
this is perhaps one of the few places
to grab a burger or other simple fare
from a limited (but quite good) sandwich
oriented menu. The dark below street
level atmosphere adds to the mystique
of "The Brotherhood" and before
long you're convinced that your a clandestine
member. Be sure to view the flip side
of their menu as it displays a world
class selection of cordials, imported
liquors, cognacs and after dinner type
drinks. |

While
Oran Mor appears to be a top ranking
on Greylady Gourmet, we found our dining
experience to be less than five star.
For our engagement dinner on ,
we chose Oran Mor and alerted the restaurant
staff of our special day. We arrived
in tandem with three other couples at
six o'clock and
the wait staff seemed rather disorganized
and the host was not ready to take us
to our tables. The setting is an upstairs
area of two rooms and a bar and was
very quaint.
The waitress was generally nice, but
also seemed hurried due to the increased
crowd. She was polite and made a suggestion
on the beer. However, she did drop a
spoon in my water while setting the
silverware for an appetizer. The waitress
did not pick up that it was our special
day nor did we appear to be seated at
a special table as promised.
The food was above average. The bread
was not warm and sort of tough. The
mussel appetizer had little baby crabs
in the shells which was unexpected.
The menus mentioned something about
crab meat, but I did not remember a
mention of actual baby crabs in the
mussels. The only fish selection on
the menu was tuna, which I opted for
medium cooked as opposed to the traditional
rare. The tuna was fine, but the mashed
potatoes were lumpy and stringy with
a consistency of squash. Dessert shared
with a coffee and chocolate cake were
a pleasant ending. The waitress did
finally congratulate us as we signed
the check, but who couldn't notice our
hands dangling her ring by the candlelight?
Overall the experience was nice, but
not quite as memorable as we had hoped. |

| What could be better
than a gorgeous day on ACK and a wonderful
outside setting by the ocean to help
you enjoy it. For one thing, the best
Fish-n-Chips this side of the "pond".
This is no joke, the batter was light
and the fish had GREAT flavor. Add to
that amazing fries (all washed down
with a few Whale's Tale Ale -- of course)
and you've got yourself the PERFECT
lunch. So don't delay, jump on your
bike the next time your "on island"
and enjoy, you wont be sorry!!! |

| It's slightly off
the beaten track, but well worth the
adventure. A recent visit to the snACK
shack proved there's always room for
another sandwhich shop on island. Although
they provide a wide array of house specialties,
they were more than happy to handle
my special order (including the fresh
avacados) and cold Nectars
to quench my thirst. This was the place
for me! My wife mentioned that
it also doesn't hurt that the "hunks"
behind the counter were reason enough
to return again and again. |

| We
were celebrating a very important
event (my husband's 30th birthday!!)
and the restaurant was wonderful to
us!! They gave us a beautiful table
in the corner and we were told it
was "ours for the night",
which relaxed us from the start. The
service was exceptional and the food
was phenomenal!!! They even included
a candle on our souffle, (which you
HAVE to order if you dine here!!)
and sang "Happy Birthday".
Also, the restaurant was nice and
quiet, so it was very easy to hold
a conversation. I highly recommend
this restaurant to anyone visiting
the island. You will pay, but it is
worth it!!! |

| This restaurant
exhibited a superior ability to make
a special event (Birthday) that much
more special. The cozy nautical environment
was both romantic and relaxing, but
the real attribute that stands out
is their level of service delivered
