| Restaurants
may change with new owners or chefs and we
felt an annual dining experience was necessary
for complete evaluations.Over the summers
of 2001 and 2002 we plan on 36 dining experiences
at 's finest restaurants. We typically
sample two different appetizers, entrees,
and desserts from the menus. We were especially
looking for fish because it is our feeling
that many visitors to the island anticipate
seafood. We visited restaurants that have
been popular and/or enjoyed by us in the past.
Our reviews focused on the following areas: |
| Category
Reviewed |
Commentary |
| Ambiance |
| Our
particular preference was for small
restaurants with charm. We were looking
for an attractive setting for that
special evening out. |
|
| Food |
| Presentation
and tastefulness were our concerns;
portions were not. |
|
| Service |
| The general promptness
and appropriateness of wait-staff
and other personnel. |
|
| Price |
restaurants
we visited fell in the broad category
of $$$ or "right on the money".
While this may seem to appear as an
average price for a meal, please be
advised this rating is expensive relative
to off-island dining,
*In our price evaluations, we included
the cost of (1) drink, (1) appetizer,
(1) entre, (1) dessert and (1) coffee
per person. |
