Beer Pong Profile - Ken "Keg" Unabomber
While this tournament could have been called the tournament of underdogs, second to John Field, Ken "Keg" was a strong contender for that title. Friday night Keg had a lengthy practice session with a one harrassing and inebriated Chris Matricciani who's banter was mostly targeted at the a thoroughly sloshed Phil LeShock, but Ken proved that having not played beer pong since graduating Dickinson College in 1988 was not really a handicap. As one of the oldest Betas at the tournament, Ken was becoming a force, but I think his comment about the Wildman's plaid shorts might have cost him the needed momentum in the tourney.
Ken had a grueling 1st round match against Chris "Hat" Matricciani... and it was deadlocked going into the final minutes. It was even questionable about the final time limit, but in the end it was Ken "Keg" on top of Matricciani 4-3 in overtime.
In round two, Ken faced a difficult opponent and top ranked Sarge "The Dragon" Mead, but it was Ken crushing the unfocused contender and advancing to the semi-finals 5-1. In the end, however, it was Oompa who continued his undefeated streak and pummeled this rising challenger with a shutout score 5-0.
Ken is a long lost alumni and it is a shame that Ken doesn't attend more alumni beer pong events in his future to further sharpen his beer pong skills.
